Position Summary

PMA has an immediate opening for a Field Engineer/On-Site Representative working with the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) on the Metropolitan Tunnel Redundancy Program. This position is a full-time role supporting a long-term state utility infrastructure project valued at several billion dollars. As an integral part of the Program Support Services (PSS) team, PMA is providing program management and technical support services directly to the client.

The Geotechnical Support Services (GSS) contract will complete approximately 40 deep rock borings in the next two years. During the drilling, the support will be on-site monitoring progress, providing oversight for the drillers, potentially engaging with the public, and reporting to the department daily. When the GSS is not conducting borings, the support will likely be augmenting the department staff at the newly leased core shed located at 110 Gould St., Needham, MA 02494. Duties will most likely be related to the GSS contract such as reviewing data and other aspects of the program’s geotechnical approach. Daily activities would most likely also include coordinating field activities with the client and PSS team, attending meetings with clients, following up on action items, producing work products, reporting, and progress tracking, along with providing daily support to designers and contractors, as well as other outside vendors.

Here is your opportunity to be an integral part of a long-term multi-billion-dollar program that will involve deep rock mining and heavy construction while being a team member of a company that is proud of its world-class culture!
