EOC/DISASTER RESPONSE SUPPORT – Air Operations Job at Tidal Basin
Position Summary:
Tidal Basin is the nation’s premier provider of integrated preparedness, emergency response management, and disaster recovery consulting services. We are growing our team and have opportunities for Emergency Management professionals to join our roster of standby staff. Do you have experience working in a local or state Emergency Operations Center, or experience in the field during a disaster response? If you have 3-5 years of experience and/or supporting certifications in disaster air operations and have an interest in episodic work, look no further!
In addition to other opportunities, we have the following Air Operations positions available:
Aviation Mission Specialist-Coordinate current (duty day) air operations missions and associated planning activities.
Airspace Coordinator-Coordinate with partner agencies for mission planning of airspace management; ensure aviation operations are conducted safely.
Aviation Mission Support Analyst-Coordinate missions with partner agencies and airspace coordinator.
Future Air Operations Coordinator-Responsible for all future air operations.
Aviation Load Planner-Coordinate with partners to coordinate aircraft payloads appropriately and safely.
Aviation Fuels Coordinator-Coordinate refueling needs and logistics for various aircraft platforms; conduct planning with partner agencies and stakeholders.
Drone Countermeasure Specialist-Detect, track, classify, identify, and mitigate small, unmanned aircraft systems operating in unauthorized areas; provide information on the types and telemetry data of any aircraft in the airspace.
Unmanned Aircraft System Remote Pilot-in-Command-Operate various fixed wing, rotary wing, or lighter-than-air unmanned aircraft systems; provide situational awareness by transmitting real-time or near real-time imagery, data, or verbal assessment, using multiple technologies, such as photogrammetry, live video, thermal imaging, and lidar.
Unmanned Aircraft System Technical Specialist-Provide technical support to the UAS Pilot in Command; manage data recording equipment and software; transmit data and live feeds to the State EOC; manage communications systems and frequencies; maintain documentation in the appropriate chain of custody.
