Join our team as an Engagement Specialist and you will be responsible for contributing to and delivering on Humana’s strategy in community-based engagement. You will also be responsible for effectively promoting our Medicare brand in the community.

Responsibilities

In the Engagement Specialist role, you will boost our community presence and our Humana brand. Some of the duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Providing marketing support to enhance brand awareness
  • Provide event flyers, brochures, and promotional items to the team
  • Work in compliance by following Federal, State and local regulations that apply with Medicare guidelines
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with the community
  • Maintain an overall team spirit working closely with our local market
  • This role may require working extended hours, weekends when needed at both indoor/outdoor locations

Role Essentials

  • At least one (1) year of experience in a customer service or similar role
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality and work independently in support of the department
  • Available to travel to designated work area
  • Work extended hours and weekends when needed at both indoor/outdoor locations
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Outlook
  • Must reside within the local territory and a daily commutable distance to the Torrance market office
  • This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and requires an individual to have a clear and valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits. We will also run a Motor Vehicle Report for this position.
  • Although this is a field position, there will be times when you will be working from home so you must have the ability to provide high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Also, associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
  • Internet requirements include a minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload).
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • Working conditions will require a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Role Desirables

  • Prior experience in TEAMS, PowerPoint and effective use of Social Media platforms
  • Experience engaging with the community through service, organizations, activities, and volunteerism
  • Bilingual with the ability to speak, read and write in both English and an additional language without limitations or assistance
