Job Summary & Job Duties

SUMMARY:
General working knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and repair electromechanical vacuum systems such as PVD/CVD chambers and Electron Beam welders and other electrical equipment such as welding power supply, pumps, motors, HVAC, cooling systems, etc. as typically used in an industrial environment.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Ability to work safely on 120V, 240V, 277V and 480V three-phase electrical equipment.
  • Maintains aged equipment by performing routine PMs as well as corrective maintenance as needed in a fast paced production environment.
  • Assembles experimental circuitry or completes prototype model according to engineering instructions, technical manuals and knowledge of electronic systems, components and their functions.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  • Works with production technicians to solve and prevent problems with equipment.
  • Performs any other assigned duty as directed by management.

Minimum Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma required. Trade or Technical School training in electronics required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, volt meters, oscilloscopes, and hand tools.
  • Experience in equipment calibration and equipment repair to component level is required.
  • Prior experience maintaining and operating Semiconductor Manufacturing equipment with a preference for Applied Materials PVD chambers

  • Be able to lift and/or move 35 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
