OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

The Electronic Technician is responsible for assembly, troubleshooting and repair, to the component level, of fixtures, prototype products and testing equipment. The Electronic Technician will utilize tools and soldering equipment, primarily for surface mount components, to assemble, repair, modify, and change parts on electronic circuit boards.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

· Troubleshoot and repair to the component level for circuit boards

· Understand electronic circuits, read sophisticated schematic diagrams, and PCB layout to trace components to perform troubleshooting and repair

· Use test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and volt meters

· Perform surface mount soldering techniques utilizing hand assembly and microscope tools

· Component kits pulls and inventory management

· Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Proven ability to test and troubleshoot various types of electronic circuit boards

· Experience in board-level and multi-layer board repair of telecommunications systems

· Proven track record of experience in soldering with various types of integrated circuit packages

· Excellent attention to detail

· Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining deadlines

· Must be organized

· Have engineering skills to troubleshoot instruments and updates manuals and record keeping

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Minimum 2-year Electronics degree, equivalent certification or equivalent job experience in electronics or technical role

· Requires ability to read and understand schematics

· Requires ability to identify electronic component packaging

· Requires ability for and soldering of small surface mount components

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
