The Southern California (SoCal) Global Design Center is a One Boeing opportunity to engage across the business units and global design centers. The Global Services Systems and Electrical Team is looking for two Managers to join this talented and fast paced team.

These first level manager positions will build and lead Electrical Engineering teams that provide engineering solutions for the Global Services modifications business. These leaders must be able to build and maintain relationships across the value stream, including peers in engineering, operations, supply chain and manufacturing.

The managers of these teams will start with a strong core of experienced engineers. In addition to managing current work statement, this position will grow the capability and capacity of the teams by: building a talent pipeline, knowledge management, and networking with international partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle professional employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering
  • Develop and complete project and process plans and set operational goals
  • Provide technical management of suppliers
  • Provide leadership and oversight of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Partner with international partners in Brazil, India, Ukraine and Poland
  • Inspire the team forward on their Lean Journey
  • Most importantly, lead, develop and motivate employees

Export Control

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 1+ years of experience managing or leading people or teams
  • 5+ years of experience working in a professional environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with Electrical Engineering Technical Designs
  • Experience supporting aircraft production, development, and/or sustainment program(s)
  • Experience working directly with Boeing customers and/or suppliers
  • Willing & able to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally
  • Experience in FAA certification or airworthiness
  • Experience with Commercial Engineering, Mods and Maintenance (EMM) products

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option. (Long Beach, CA.)
