ELDS Financial Analyst

As a Finance Analyst, you will provide financial and control expertise to the Instrument Transformers & Sensors (ITS), Electrification Distribution Solutions (ELDS) in Pinetops, North Carolina, benchmarking KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) while working with other finance professionals to understand the drivers of financial performance, identifying trends relevant to the business. You will be responsible to provide financial and controlling expertise to the organization by compiling and analyzing metrics, identifying trends and problems, communicating information to relevant groups and recommending actions to improve financial performance of Pinetops factory.

Your responsibilities

  • Performs analyses of business and proposes improvement actions. Performs benchmarking of key performance indicators and works with factory management team to understand and analyze the drivers of financial performance. Prepares financial modelling for various “what if” scenarios and the overall impact to the factory. Special focus areas: production variances, product costing, monitoring of improvement projects
  • Supports preparation of relevant organization financial reporting, business planning, budgeting and forecasting. Validates accuracy of financial data and business information and reports by performing reconciliations and review of exceptions
  • Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, making presentations of
  • findings, analyses and recommendations
  • Ensures processes and controls within own area of responsibility are designed and implemented in line with Group and unit
  • requirements. Maintains proper audit trail and documentation for future tax/ internal/external audits and reviews

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a factory environment
  • Good, analytical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office software applications
  • This position offers the option of a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days at the office per week
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
