eCommerce Merchandiser (Entry-Level) Job at Company Folders, Inc.

This is a full-time, salaried position located in our Pontiac, Michigan office. We will only consider local candidates who are able to work from our office.

We are looking for an entry-level E-commerce Merchandiser who will be managing our website's catalog of products, working with vendors, merchandising, performing data entry, content writing, and administering the product gallery. This position will work closely with a team of experienced marketers and designers to maintain our commercial website, create detailed product spreadsheets, and carrying out a variety of online research tasks; they will also manage vendors, acting as the point of contact, onboarding new vendors, and maintaining all aspects of these relationships.

Before the first interview, you will first be asked to complete the following:

  • Phone screening, including an attention to detail test (25-30 minutes)
  • Writing exercise (approx. 30 minutes)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Product management including adding, editing, and removing products
  • Full management of our vendors—including point of contact, bi-monthly meetings with key suppliers, maintaining up-to-date pricing and inventories, launching new and optimizing existing processes, and negotiating deals
  • Finding, analyzing, selecting new vendors to work with and integrating those vendors into the company
  • Analyzing our competitors’ retail pricing to ensure our pricing remains competitive
  • Run all on-website promotions and discounts—including content needed (such as banner images and copy) and website configuration
  • Assist the COO in the areas of marketing, sales, content, HR
  • Support other teams including customer service, software testing, and company culture/events
  • Write website copy, such as product descriptions and gallery descriptions

Requirements:

  • Desire to gain experience in the ecommerce, merchandising, or marketing fields
  • Keen attention to detail—ability to create content and data without errors
  • Excellent problem-solving skills—able to quickly analyze problems and identify solutions without help from others
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to conduct thorough, credible research and organize findings
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
  • Ability to present effectively—professional demeanor and strong presentation skills
  • Editorial skills in areas of accuracy, voice, readability, and grammar
  • Project management competency
  • General marketing knowledge

Pay: $35,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
