The Goodwill Gulf Coast
eCommerce department is seeking a part-time lister.

$14.00/hour Must be available to work flexible days SUNDAY-SATURDAY


Mission
Contribution:

To ensure the efficient and cost effective operation and stewardship of the Goodwill online marketplace.

Function:

Responsible for photographing, researching, listing, and shipping items that are sold online.

Essential Duties:

  • Ensures World Class customer service.
  • Performs accurate initial sort and grading donations.
  • Ensures inventory growth, inventory maintenance and production goals are reached.
  • Performs packaging and shipping to accurately ship orders and exchanges.
  • Responsible for listing and shipping books for e-Commerce.
  • Ensures good stewardship of all donations, through proper handling and processing of incoming donation flow in and out of the store in accordance with GES policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the cleanliness and image of the location and work stations.
  • Minimizes accidents and Workers Compensation claims by making sure that safety and accident reporting standards are followed and preventive measures are taken.
  • Keeps abreast of product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive pricing through comparative shopping and/or research.
  • Performs assigned duties within the framework of our Mission, Vision, Core Values and Guiding Principles.
  • Attends internal and external training as assigned by VP/Director of eCommerce.
  • May be asked to participate in activities and events that promote and/or generate revenue for the agency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Director of eCommerce and/or VP of Donated Goods.
  • Acts as a positive role model for employees in all aspects of professional performance.
  • Regular attendance is required as outlined in Goodwill's attendance policy.

Working Conditions:

  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job: moderate noise level, varying temperature changes, and a warehouse type environment.

Critical Performance Factors:

  • Ability to effectively read customer orders, present information and respond to questions from others
  • Basic knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook. Employee should have basic computer skills and be familiar with UPS World Ship and Endicia.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as weight and amount cost of shipping.

  • Must have the ability to photograph items to be sold online.
  • Must be able to take initiative and work well with little supervision.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be able to keep information confidential.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
  • Must be able to maintain an effective working relationship with, and among employees while motivating them to their best performance.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, on short notice, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.
  • Ability to read and interpret websites, documents such as policies and procedures. Ability to write creatively and articulately.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and average.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of online programs such as Google, Ebay, Amazon.com and Microsoft Office products, specifically Windows, Word and Picture Manager are required. General experience with Excel and doing online research is strongly desired.
  • Ability to type minimum 40 wpm required - must pass a typing test.


Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Experience in business (retail/manufacturing/production/logistics) setting preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required.


Physical Requirements:

  • Able to bend, reach and stand for extensive periods of time and lift up to forty pounds. May be required to lift heavier goods/items with the assistance of another team member.
  • Must have sufficient eyesight and manual dexterity to differentiate between and classify items.
