Description


This is a remote/ rotational position, working two weeks on and two weeks off or three weeks on and three weeks off, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Job Purpose:

Routinely operate Front-End Loaders, winch tractors and bed trucks in support of Worley heavy haul and rig move operations. Will require operations of Man-Lift, Vac Truck, Super Sucker, Mini-Vac, and other assorted Fluids hauling and Earth moving equipment.

External Description:

  • Complete pre and post trip inspections of trucks/trailers/equipment.
  • IFWA (Incident Free Work Assessment) prior to starting any job.
  • Adhere to all North Slope and Worley health, safety and environment policies and procedures always.
  • Safely secure all loads.
  • Maintain equipment in good/clean working order.
  • Maintain communications with foremen, dispatch, and clients when necessary.
  • Attend all toolbox and safety meetings.
  • Routinely performs safety observations; shop, field, and vehicle/equipment inspections.
  • Attend various components of developmental and safety training.
  • The position is required to perform physical labor when equipment operations are not necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to read maps.
  • Ability to follow detailed directions.
  • Ability to complete task hazard awareness and mitigation.
  • Ability to safely drive/ operate Front-End Loader, tractor-trailer combination, 325 BBL Vacuum Truck, Super Sucker, Mini-Vac, and other assorted Fluids hauling and Earth moving equipment.
  • Extensive equipment operation in congested areas, large volume of backing operations and in severe weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of standard DOT regulations.
  • Must be able to follow all company, client, safety, and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers and alternate.
  • Ability to demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system.

  • Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.
  • Kneel 60 seconds, stand, kneel 60 seconds, stand.
  • Squat 60 seconds.

Qualifications


External Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL driver’s license with Hazmat and tanker endorsements and ability to be insured by Worley’s auto insurer.
  • Current CDL/DOT medical card.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year North Slope experience.
  • One (1) years’ experience operating fluid hauling equipment (tanker, super sucker, vac truck, etc.).
  • One (1) year working in oil and gas industry
  • Applicable certifications for equipment operation, IVES, NCCER, or other industry recognized training programs.
  • Three (3) years’ experience operating Caterpillar model front-end loaders, bed (rig) trucks, winch tractors or tractor-trailers transporting equipment and/or tubular loads.
