Established San Diego dog training company is seeking exceptional force free, positive reinforcement dog trainers. This individual must live in North or Central San Diego, (Prefer San Marcos, Escondido, Vista, Valley Center, Bonsall, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Penasquitos, Carmel Valley, Carmel Mountain, Black Mountain, Sabre Springs, Scripps Ranch, 4S Ranch, Encinitas, Mira Mesa, Miramar, Poway), have a flexible schedule, and be able to work from home. Please be able to devote at least 30 hours per week to training and caring for the dogs that are boarding with you.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of dog training, a dog training certificate or credential (preferred but not required), good people skills, and excellent references from clients.

You will need to have experience training and socializing young puppies, teaching good home manners, obedience skills, and loose leash walking (without choke chains, prong collars, e-collars, etc.). The ability to work with and resolve leash reactivity is a plus, but not required.

In order to board dogs, you will need to have a safe, fully-fenced backyard, and a home that is suitable for dogs since dogs will be living in your home. Please do not apply if you have pets that are not compatible with dogs.

This is a part-time to full-time, independent contractor position, which means you will be paid by the job, rather than by the hour. You will be responsible for your business expenses, your equipment, your treats, and other necessities.
