Dispatcher Intermodal Job at The Evans Network of Companies
Evans Delivery Company (Terminal LOH) based in Columbus, OH is seeking someone to fill the role as an Intermodal Dispatcher. We carry a family like atmosphere between our staff and drivers with our customers’ needs in mind. The key responsibilities of this function is to provide exceptional support to our drivers, be quick to questions and troubleshooting concerns and to pro-actively monitor the movement of freight to ensure customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide constant and accurate updates by email to our customers for same day shipments
- Communicate with our Customer Service team
- Respond promptly to drivers needs
- Accurate and timely entry in operating system of load statuses and shared spreadsheets
- Maintain positive and encouraging working relations with all dispatchers and drivers
- Coordinate business with Drivers and customers of the Company to optimize revenue for the Company, minimize transit time, and satisfy customer needs
- Ensure that equipment (Container, Chassis) is utilized efficiently and that all equipment is accounted for including any available equipment not currently in use.
Requirements
- Experience in the Drayage / Intermodal industry preferred
- Communication Skills Verbal & Written
- Customer / Driver focused team player
- Time management skills
- Computer knowledge of Outlook, Office 365 programs ( Word, Excel, etc.)
- Organized with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work In a fast paced work environment
