Schedule::
  • Thur/Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon (12pm-830pm)
We have 2 brand new restaurants on our campus that are not open yet. They will be open soon. Until they open, you may work similar hours as mentioned above and train in other campus kitchens awaiting their grand opening scheduled spring 2023. Once they are fully opened, you will then work the hours mentioned above. We apologize for any inconvenience.

  • We will install a Stone Pizza Oven currently being hand-built in Italy for casual and gourmet pizza's

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager, the lead dishwasher/utility worker will provide residents, guests and staff members with clean and sanitized utensils, plate ware, glassware, flooring and equipment while training dishwashers.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in training dishwashers.
Ensures proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in all aspects of job performance for themselves and their dish washing team.
Ensures utensils, plate ware, and glassware are sanitized and available as needed.
Helps clean large kitchen equipment.
Keeps sanitation solutions up to Maricopa County Health standards at all times and records on a daily basis.
Assists in training dishwashers on how to fill out all dish washing logs and ensures they are correctly filled out and up to date.
Maintains daily cleanliness and maintenance of dish area. Completes scheduled and assigned cleaning duties.
Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters.
Keeps kitchen clean by sweeping, mopping floors and emptying trash. Maintains a continuous state of cleanliness.
Performs work safely without causing harm or risk to self, others, or property. Ask for assistance in handling heavy item i.e., trash.
Empties and decontaminates trash containers.
Keeps chemical storage areas well stocked, clean, and organized.

Ability to use proper/correct dilutions of cleaning agent as instructed by the manufacturer.
Full understanding of residents’ rights, including the right to be free of restraints and free of abuse. Is responsible for promptly reporting to the Director of Residential and Health Services and/or President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) incidents or evidence of resident abuse or a violation of residents’ rights.
May perform other duties such as assigned.
Attends and participates in training activities, meetings and seminars and assists other departments as needed.
Addresses problems and conflicts in a professional and effective manner with supervised staff, allowing for opportunities of learning and growth, and facilitating such opportunities in a respectful manner.
Assists in maintaining a safe, neat, and clean environment. Reports all deficiencies to the appropriate person, such as equipment problems, need for repair or special needs of residents.
Exhibit qualities of a team player and interacts courteously, appropriately with patience and concern for the needs of the elderly and maintains a positive attitude while interacting with residents, guests, families, and co-workers.
Knowledge and Skills:
Obtains a Maricopa County food handler’s card within 30 days of employment. We will assist with this.
Has ability to listen to instructions and follow directions.
Is organized, able to multi-task, think creatively and to adapt to different situations.
Has knowledge of what personal protective equipment (PPE) to use while dish washing.
Has knowledge of dish washing machines including how to set up, break down, temperatures and chemicals used.
Education and Experience:
Has high school diploma or GED equivalent, or still attending high school. (Required)
Has a minimum of one year experience working as a dish washer. (Required)
Communication Skills:
Has a clear speaking voice, and understands English. Being bilingual would be a plus.
Has ability to speak, work, and interface with all levels of co-workers, residents, guests, and employees.
