BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Director of Reunification provides administrative leadership and operational oversight for the Reintegration Program. The individual is responsible for the direct supervision of the Reunification/Permanency Supervisors, utilizing resources effectively, and ensuring outcomes are met according to standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Monitors and evaluates program ensuring the quality and effectiveness of program, while assuring that outcomes are met.

Manages program within budget, monitoring results monthly to assure fiscal goals are met.

Responsible for reviewing and evaluating effectiveness/satisfaction data and implementing necessary changes to improve program quality and achieve established outcomes.

Participates in strategic planning process with Leadership team to develop program growth.

Provides direct supervision and support to the Supervisors, including completion of annual performance evaluation.

Develops and oversees the completion of performance expectations. Conducts corrective counseling, provides guidance and recommends termination when necessary

Fills in or assists in arranging for coverage when a Supervisor is absent.

Hires staff in coordination with Human Resources and Supervisor.

Assists in maintaining safety for the physical office environment.

Liaison with DFPS, the courts, and community partners, assessing community needs and assuring positive relationships.

Assures that record documentation and management information data is complete and accurate.

Advises Vice President of critical trends, problems or events in Reunification/Permanency.

Reports and assures critical incidents are sent to DFPS verbally within 12 hours, written within 24 hours

Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), rules, personnel policies and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms. Ensures clients' rights are protected.

Reports and assures unusual incidents are reported through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.

Requirements:

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

4 Years' experience in child welfare direct service experience

Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Related Degree from an accredited college or university.

Prefer Master's degree in Social Work, or related degree from an accredited college or university.

Must be 21 years of age

Must pass a drug screen, MVR, Criminal History and DFPS History Check, Centralized Background Check Unit Texas Health and Human Services Eligibility and any background checks deemed to be necessary.

FBI Fingerprint Check

Lifting requirements 50 lbs.

Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving and reliable transportation.

Receives training in trauma informed practice and incorporates knowledge in day-to-day practice

Able to relate, communicate and work with multiple and diverse internal and external constituents, including staff, clients, DFPS, community agencies and the court systems
