Our success at SFR3 depends on a smooth tenant experience from move-in to move-out. You will be our first in-house hire on the strongest tenant operations team in the country. What You'll Be Doing

Prototype Tenant Operations, Build a World Class Team. Your mission is simple: From move-in to move-out, deliver a world-class tenant experience (and the rent). It sounds simple, but you know from hard-earned experience that it's not. You will be the first hire on this team, prototype tenant operations onto our rails, and hire the team to run it efficiently.

We have thousands of homes in our leased portfolio, and add hundreds more every month. The team must manage relationships with THOUSANDS of tenants and with outstanding effeciency. Do you know the ins and outs of property management, the pitfalls and the tricks of the trade?

Leverage SFR3's technology team to define, build, & iterate on software & platforms to help you lease homes more quickly, more efficiently, and to deliver a successful financial outcome. You are the customer of our seasoned product and engineering team. You know what you need to succeed, and how to ask for it in ways that get it for you.

Representing the Fund and Spending time in the market. You will be the face and voice of SFR3 in markets you cover. You will gain real experience in private equity and how a real estate fund works. You will be visiting the markets as needed (monthly to quarterly) to tour our homes and become an expert on the markets you cover.

Onboard, Train, Coach, and Manage. Even the best operator can't do it alone at scale. Design & lead SFR3's Bootcamp for new operations hires. What best practices will ensure your team of operations managers are the best in the country? We must have A+ players in each position. You will own onboarding and training geared towards key techniques/skills that you know produce. You lead from the front, leveraging personal experience to coach, manage, and mentor a top producing team to push even further. At SFR3 we believe in total transparency and paying for performance, and so every operator will have a personal “scorecard” so they always know exactly what they need to do and where they need to improve. You'll help design the scorecards for your team to maximally align effort with outcome.

Performance measured in part by these KPIs:

  • Collection rate: First and foremost, we run a business. The rent pays for all the renovations, repairs and maintenance, and tenant support that goes into providing a quality housing experience.
  • Renewal rate: Nothing speaks louder than a tenant who wants to renew, and nothing contributes to smoother operations and lower overhead as well. If tenants are staying, you are winning.
  • Customer Experience (CSAT): Things happen, and it's the resolution that counts. Fast, fair, effective.
  • SFR3 reputation: TBD eval method. Do The Right Thing. Be fair, be tough, be loved.

The Skills & Experience We're Looking For

SFR Management Experience. You have experience in a Lead/Head management role. You have managed tenant operation teams across the country.

Grittiness. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on. You persevere when others fall away. You don't manage from afar - you are up there on the front lines with your team. In the beginning, you ARE the team!

Proactive Mindset. You have a strong bias towards action. You don't let problems go unsolved. You have a true passion for getting to “inbox 0”.

Technology is your tool. Efficiency is your mantra. You constantly evaluate how your efforts can be massively leveraged by technology, from simple spreadsheets and macros to APIs and enterprise-grade software. You communicate your ideas and requirements to engineers crisply and coherently so they can build the best tools quickly.
