Summary/Objective

To plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the nursing services in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the IMH Resident Home, and as may be directed and to assist the Administrator and the Medical Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. To assist the Administrator in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Facility

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• Maintain current CPR certification.
• Working knowledge of the needs of the aging and chronically ill requiring long term care, the principles of management, supervision, organizational behavior and structure, and communication systems.
• Management and/or nursing leadership experience required.

Iroquois Memorial Hospital is a 25 bed hospital located in Watseka, Illinois. The hospital facility is comprised of clinical and diagnostic services which are dedicated to providing high quality health care services to the community. These services include but are not limited to an Emergency Room, full service OR suites, an inpatient care unit, therapy services, advanced medical imaging, Home Health, and Hospice Care. The hospital operates rural health clinics in Watseka, IL, Gilman, IL, Milford, IL, and Kentland, IN. The hospital also operates a skilled nursing facility, Iroquois Resident Home, which is attached to the hospital property.

We are currently seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient-centered Director of Nursing for a full time position in our skilled nursing facility, Iroquois Resident Home. The position requires a current RN license and previous management experience in long term care setting. The DON implements planning, organization, development and manages the overall operation of the nursing services in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the IMH Resident Home. Assists the Administrator and the Medical Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
