The Digital Initiatives Specialist is responsible for planning and coordinating digital programs for finishline.com, jdsports.com or a combination of the two. This position works with the Brand Marketing, Merchandising, and Creative teams to identify key priorities and develop plans to support. This individual should effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following main duties:
  • Review the Marketing/Merchant strategy and acquire the appropriate information and details needed to deliver to Copy, Design, and Merchandising for execution.
  • Partner with Marketing, Creative, Site Management and Site Merchandising to launch new and update existing content; including daily site updates, seasonal refreshes, promotional banners, landing pages and special projects.
  • Maintains daily site content calendar, working closely with Brand Marketing and Site Management to coordinate and communicate changes.
  • Responsible for production and delivery of site content from planning, to design, through execution.
  • Reviews and performs the final assessment of site updates prior to go-live, ensuring that updates follow the site calendar and meet customer expectations.
  • Consistently audits website to ensure all content is relevant and performing as intended.
  • Create experiences that display the value proposition and enhance brand authenticity.
  • Use Google Analytics to track, analyze, report and communicate key metrics that provide actionable insight.
  • Analyze and track competitive landscape and site content to create actionable insights that help drive optimization and deliver a best in class customer experience.
  • Create business reports to help drive priorities for onsite content and opportunities.
  • Develop strong relationships across the business including with the merchandising, marketing, store operations, and buying teams.
  • Ensure that on site content maintains consistency and creates connected experiences through marketing channels.
  • Help drive optimization in site content through testing and analysis of campaigns to deliver better converting content across all digital touch-points.
  • Assist in writing meaningful creative briefs that provide clear, concise direction for Creative team to design digital assets that meet business requirements, objectives, and drive results.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a major in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media or a related field is preferred
  • 1 - 2+ years of related experience preferred, in Retail highly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Internal JD Finish Line experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Passion for eCommerce and Digital Technology
  • Highly motivated with willingness to learn
  • Detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with G Suite, Powerpoint, and Excel
  • Previous experience with an enterprise level Analytics platform is highly preferred
  • Internal JD Finish Line experience strongly preferred

Employees may be asked to perform additional duties outside of normal job scope on a temporary basis per the company policy. Pay range: $50,000 - $60,000 (Depending on Experience); 10% bonus target. This role will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401k, sick leave, parental leave, and company paid time off plan.
