Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio
is seeking a mission-minded Associate to join us as a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Digital Communications Manager.


SUMMARY

Under the leadership of the Director of Marketing, the Digital Communications Manager will oversee digital communications that fulfill our organizational mission, vision, values, business, and fundraising goals. This position will collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team, department partners, and external vendors to maximize successful communications strategies that inspire patients, clients, donors, corporate supporters, activists, organizers, and community leaders. The Digital Communications Manager will be someone who thrives in the digital space, is passionate about creative social media communications, and who is a strategic planner.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Supports the Director of Marketing in developing and implementing digital strategic plans for campaigns, with a focus on growing and engaging new audiences and expanding the reach of the organization on multiple platforms.
  • Plans, manages, and creates content to maintain PPGOH’s social media presence, ensuring a steady drumbeat of strategic content is issued across channels such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Performs daily social media engagement including responses, social listening, appearing in and sharing content, and implementing current trends and best practices.
  • Tracks engagement, followers, and other relevant metrics and analyzes the results of social media campaigns.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing and Communications team to develop creative and engaging content to reach targeted audiences and align with PPGOH’s strategic plan and PPFA’s “mission days.” This content includes, but is not limited to blog posts, reels, graphics, and emails.
  • Builds and manages the PPGOH website, enhancing accessibility, SEO, navigation, and optimizing the user experience, liaising with PPFA when needed.
  • Builds and schedules marketing emails, internal digital communications, and donor newsletters while ensuring design and layouts are optimized and mobile-friendly.
  • Creates and runs A/B tests for emails and digital ads; analyzes the performance and adjusts content and strategies accordingly.
  • Supports the Director of Marketing in defining, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on KPIs as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Communications, or related field preferred
  • 3-4 years in social media and digital content management will be considered in lieu of degree
  • 3 years’ experience in digital communications, social media, Google Analytics, website management, and other web development tools
  • Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation, and image) skills and the ability to move people to action.
  • Creative eye for graphic design and developing content across a variety of channels and platforms (extensive design experience is not required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and in the strategic use of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and other social media platforms, as well as social media management systems.
  • Ability to record and edit (as well as appear in) video content for social media channels.
  • Ability to create and execute digital campaigns across audiences and channels with an ability to match content and tone accordingly.
