Overview

Dentistry for Children and Adolescents is a patient-oriented dental practice looking for a friendly, reliable and outgoing dental assistant to join our team. You must enjoy working with kids, teenagers, and those with special needs. This is a full-time position that operates Monday through Thursday with half-day Fridays every alternate week. We provide a variety of benefits, including continuing education, health insurance, 401(k), profit sharing, uniform, shoe allowance, and ten paid holidays after a 90-day probationary period and ten paid vacation days after one year of employment.

Skills and Responsibilities

· Outstanding communication skills

· Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job

· Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures

· Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment/cleaning

· Take dental radiographs (x-rays)

· Provide parents and patients with instructions for oral care following all dental treatment procedures

· Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health

· Perform various office tasks as necessary

Education and Experience

· Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify (preferred not required)

· High School Diploma or equivalent
