Excelsior Wood Products is currently seeking a hard working Delivery Driver to assist with deliveries and production at our full service custom wood mill.

Excelsior Wood Products is a small, family owned business located in historic Kingston, NY. We have the capability to manufacture both new and reclaimed wood products including mouldings, flooring, decking, siding, paneling and furniture to name a few. We are looking for a responsible delivery driver to distribute products promptly to our customers while representing our company in a professional and cost-effective manner. While this is a full time position, the deliveries alone do not constitute a 40 hour week. This position requires the candidate to also contribute as a wood shop employee during the times deliveries are not scheduled.

Responsibilities include:

• Deliver a wide variety of wood products to different addresses and through different routes using a 24' flatbed.
• Safely load, unload, prepare, inspect, secure loads and operate delivery vehicle.
• Repeatedly lift wood products weighing as much as 75 pounds repeatedly during un-loading.
• Maintain delivery vehicle
• Communicate with customers professionally regarding delivery times and payments due
• Complete logs and reports
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

• Perform manual labor in a production line
• Stand/walk/kneel/crouch for prolonged periods of time
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards

• Count finished products
• Clean and maintain work areas
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a delivery driver mandatory
• Must be able to drive a standard transmission
• Ability to operate forklift
• Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
• Good driving record with no traffic violations
• High school diploma
• Mandatory drug testing and background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
