Deficiency Coordinator - FireGuard

The Deficiency Coordinator is responsible for quoting inspection deficiencies for Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler, Special Hazards Systems, Kitchen Hood Systems, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency/Exit Lights & other Misc. Inspections by following the FireGuard deficiency process.

Job Responsibilities:

· Communicate promptly and regularly with customers regarding all system integrity issues, recommendations, and any other solutions that have been quoted.

· Satisfy requests for quote by providing proposals in a timely manner.

· May include face-to-face meetings with clients at their business locations.

· Maintain and update an inspection deficiency tracking system daily.

· Assist in sales functions and customer service functions as needed.

· Communicating with the Inspectors.

· Ensure proper manpower on each project to produce maximum productivity.

· Identify and communicate changes in projects that impact cost, schedule, or labor requirements.

· Make sure change orders/change estimates are applied to base scope.

· Provide general administrative support for managers and staff.

· Maintain & update several types of records.

· Complete special projects as required.

· Accomplish responsibilities as required using business software as approved by FireGuard.

· Offer suggestions and solutions on improving efficiency.

· Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers and team members.

· Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Preferred strong knowledge of Life Safety Code 101 2012 edition
  • Field experience a plus
  • Critical skills thinking
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook software programs
  • Active Learning – Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem solving and decision making
  • Detail oriented, Well-organized, proficient in multi-tasking & possesses time-management skills
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must pass a drug test and background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

  • Life Safety Industry: 2 years (Preferred)
