We are seeking a Manager, Cybersecurity Operations to join our team. This position is based at our Corporate Support Center in Irving, TX, and reports to the Chief Information Security Officer, where we support flexible and remote work arrangements. The Cybersecurity Operations Manager is key in providing leadership; defining and building technical and business requirements for data protection to reduce cyber threats, conducting periodic data security audits, and developing plans around remediating active threats

This individual will be responsible for day-to-day security operations, monitoring architecture of CEC’s Co-Lo, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments, enforcing PCI and IT Security Policies, and engineering of all CEC’s cybersecurity solutions for Information Systems and endpoints. The individual selected for this position will have the ability to build strong relationships within the IT organization and with business stakeholders, while being able to manage and support CEC’s core and restaurant-based technology infrastructure

Responsibilities:

Under strategic direction, responsible for activities related to enterprise cybersecurity:

  • Primary responsibilities include leadership and management of Cybersecurity Operations personnel, including mentoring and providing guidance to subordinates, introducing best practice procedures, standards, and policies towards delivering comprehensive secure solutions, threat mitigation, and risk reduction.
  • Define strategy and execute roadmap to address all data protection requirements such as access/audit controls, anonymization / de-identification, encryption, retention, and residency, within product and corporate roadmaps.
  • Monitor security events daily from the various channels (Office 365, SEIM, Meraki, EDR Software, Fortinet, Cisco, etc.), based on the security event severity, escalate to managed service support teams as appropriate to perform further investigation and resolution.
  • Leads in the remediation of security related incidents and vulnerabilities (blocking nefarious email, removing malware, etc.).
  • Provides support for developing and implementing security measures for electronic information during transit and at rest on multi-platform operating systems.
  • Identifies process improvements and opportunities to increase effectiveness, proficiency, and processes of data security within the organization.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging technology trends and developments in areas of interest to the business.

  • Provide analysis and trending of security log data from many heterogeneous security devices.
  • Provide Incident Response (IR) leadership when analysis confirms actionable incident.
  • Analyze and respond to previously undisclosed software and hardware vulnerabilities and lead remediation efforts.
  • Create and maintain operational reports for Key Performance Indicators and weekly and Monthly Metrics.
  • Drives compliance and participates in internal and external audits (PCI, NIST CSF, SOX).
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and leader in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adheres to all CEC Entertainment corporate guiding principles, processes, policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Some travel as needed to remote data centers and other offices.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, with at least four (4) of those years implementing data protection and privacy requirements
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CCSP, CEP or other related certifications or graduate program experience preferred
  • Expert knowledge of Intrusion Detection (deep TCP/IP knowledge, and Cyber security), various operating systems (Windows/UNIX), and web technologies (focusing on Internet security)
  • Ability to read and understand packet level data Intrusion detection and prevention and Network Security Products (IDS/IPS, firewalls, etc.) Host Security Products (HIPS, AV, scanners, etc.)
  • Proficient skill in PowerShell scripting and Office message search
  • Knowledge of various security methodologies and processes, and technical security solutions (firewall and intrusion detection systems)
  • Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA etc.
  • Experience with data protection and cyber security framework policies, processes, and controls, such as: NIST CSF, ISO27001, SOC2, CIS, etc.
  • Knowledge of common Internet protocols and applications
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong understanding of data security & privacy challenges in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure and expertise in developing and securing solutions in the cloud
  • Strong communication, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised, exercise leadership, and influence change
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Exposure on Vulnerability assessment as well as penetration testing or forensic analysis fields are an advantage

Physical Demands

To perform the duties of this position, the incumbent must have the ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach, and carry, lift, pull, push between 1 – 25 lbs. Incumbent must use a computer, with repetitive movement of both hands. Incumbent must be able to work an 8-hour shift, with some overtime. Incumbent must also be available to travel to various locations by airplane or by operating a vehicle if needed.
