ChristianaCare's General Surgery and Urology practices are looking for a Full-Time Customer Service Specialist to join our Surgical Services team in Newark.

How YOU Make an Impact

The Customer Service Specialist will support our General Surgery and Urology practices by answering all incoming calls in a timely manner, process and route them according to nature of call.

Schedule

Mondays - Fridays: 8:30am -4:30pm, day shift. No weekends, No On-calls.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responds accurately to a high volume of calls demonstrating exceptional customer service skills

  • Receives and responds to all incoming calls

  • Schedule appointments according to guidelines

  • Process phone notes

  • Documentation of call is detailed and accurate

  • Utilization of computer i.e.: scheduling module and EMR

  • Enter patient demographics

  • Ability to multi-task with typing and talking simultaneously

  • Routing calls appropriately.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School graduate

  • Prior call center, customer service and medical office related experience preferred.

  • Computer and key boarding skill required

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
