As a group, Virtuos has become a recognized leader in its field, has been growing faster than its peers have in recent years, and is pursuing an aggressive global expansion strategy. To this end, we are seeking an experienced Corporate Development Director who can join our team and help pave the way towards our new goals.
- Assist the CEO and executive management team to define the company’s short, medium, and longer-term growth and competitive strategy. Build a road map for execution. Keep abreast of the latest industry, regulatory, macro trends to ensure the company is well aware and appropriately factoring them into its strategy and plans.
- Oversee sourcing and screening process to evaluate potential strategic initiatives, M&A, investment or partnership opportunities globally.
- Develop acquisition and/or partnership business case analysis, ensuring appropriate due diligence is completed. Negotiate, execute and implement deals in partnership with other functions.
- Prepare and present regular updates to the executive management team and board of Directors on deal status, structure, valuation and strategic synergies.
- Post-investment, serve as facilitator to ensure successful delivery of synergies and positive outcomes for all stakeholders.
- Build relationships with game developers and relevant bankers / commercial DD advisors located in strategic markets and foster awareness about Virtuos being a consolidation force.
- Min. 8 years working experience in M&A, investing, investment banking or gaming industry corporate development.
- Deal-maker with entrepreneurial mindset and experience working in a fast pace, environment.
- Individual who loves to build new relationships and imagine win-win opportunities. Existing network or relationships with gaming companies and studios will be a major plus.
- Passion for the gaming industry, good understanding of the software development process and an eye for talent and quality.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen - deeply understands how to diligence targets, and also how to position the company in a better light.
