Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Corporate Controller to work with the Leadership team to ensure the business delivers on timely financial reporting, compliance, and treasury management. This position reports to the AriensCo Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Corporate Controller will be responsible for leading staff and provide guidance to regional controllers to ensure consistent US GAAP reporting amongst all global legal entities and ensure compliance with statutory reporting in local countries. Establish and maintain policies for the organization; and directs the regulatory compliance oversight function. The Corporate Controller scope of responsibility will be to manage the organization’s fiscal performance, lead proper account reconciliation procedures, due diligence of acquisitions, cash flow planning, and risk management. S/he will collaborate with Operations, HR, Legal and IT while also working in close cooperation with the CFO and Audit Committee.
The Day To Day...
  • Responsible for all audit and compliance reporting both external and internal
  • Lead banking relationships and reporting
  • Develop processes, and lead due diligence for acquisition targets
  • Provide advice and recommendations on the financial implication of key business decisions, including: potential acquisitions, investments in new technology, market expansion, etc.
  • Lead financial activities for potential investments, acquisitions, partnerships, and/or deals. Activities may include: extensive financial due diligence; negotiation of deal terms and conditions; creation of integration plans and related performance metrics
  • Understand and mitigate key elements of the Company's risk profile, including but not limited to: credit and liquidity risk, financial strength of partners and clients, contract negotiations, and insurance requirements
  • Develop and monitor effective accounting and financial systems, procedures and controls to safeguard Company assets and ensure compliance with applicable laws, codes and rules for financial and tax reporting. Report on internal controls including weaknesses, corrective actions and known or suspected frauds or irregularities
  • Provide early warning on all business and industry trends that affect the performance of the business including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and operational issues
  • Provide structure, leadership and coaching to the finance and accounting organization, set appropriate goals to motivate employees, and achieve results that improve financial performance
  • Oversee and manage all controller related duties, corporate consolidation, and elimination entries
  • Function as corporate treasurer. Initiate and maintain strong working relationships with banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, auditors and officials
  • Issue weekly, monthly and annual reports including, but not limited to: annual operation budget, annual capital budget, consolidated cash and income forecasts, estimates, and financial statements
  • Complete annual certified audit reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO and senior management
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach and lead effectively through a changing environment is necessary
  • Proven capable at communicating timely, succinct, and accurate financial performance and information to all key stakeholders orally and in writing; provides data and answers before questions arise
  • Lead as an example of the Company Core Values and Vision in all decisions
The Requirements...
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting is required
  • CPA required
  • At least 15 years of progressive financial/accounting leadership experience
  • Experience leading financial aspects of capital investments, acquisitions due diligence, and analyzing return on invested capital
  • Thorough practical experience and understanding of standard costing is required
  • Experience with internal control best practices for private companies is necessary
  • Experience in public accounting desirable
