Position Summary

The Controller will be responsible for oversight and quality control of all monthly, quarterly and annual close processes as well as statutory financial reporting and tax policy compliance. This position is responsible for accurate and timely reporting. This position is also responsible for developing, maintaining and enforcing finance policies and procedures. The Controller will manage provider network contracts, monthly and annual reconciliations with funders and develop and maintain financial plans, budgets, forecasts and performance reports.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Financial Management
    • Case Management: Monitoring and balancing cash flows to meet obligations and optimize investments.
    • Internal Controls: Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls and company policies and to safeguard company assets.
    • Contract Management: Establish, renew and monitor contracts with provider network.
    • Budget: Assisting in the creation of annual budgets.
    • Invoices: Ensuring invoices are properly approved and coded in General Ledger.
    • Audit Liaison: Coordination with external financial, compliance and tax auditors.
    • Reporting: Collecting and Consolidating financial data for monthly and annual close process.
    • Council: Provide executive leadership with program status updates and
  • Supervision and Support
    • Direct, monitor and provide feedback to financial.
    • Manage issue resolution process and relate/report issues/concerns to executive leadership.
    • Complete assigned staff evaluations in a timely.
    • Ensure compliance with Pressley Ridge Texas policies, procedures.
    • Collaborate and problem solve with peers in the finance organization to address issues and help drive effective and efficient decision making.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and auto license.
  • Clearances: State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse clearances; CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training per state regulation.

Working Conditions

Experience

Required
  • 3 - 5 years: Accounting experience including analytical skills, planning, budgeting, financial reporting, general ledger, and statutory reporting.
Preferred
  • Less than 3 year(s): Supervisory experience, preferred.

Education

Required
  • Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field

Licenses & Certifications

Preferred
  • CPA
