Concrete Foreman


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction work.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in concrete work with references and working history
  • Intermediate to advanced experience on a skid steer or mini excavator.
  • Setting concrete forms to correct depth and pitch
  • Placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete
  • Spread concrete using shovels and rakes along with screed
  • Smooth surface using hand trowel, long handed bull float or powered trowel
  • Break up old concrete surfaces using pneumatic tools
  • Ability to work without close supervision once directed on task.
  • Ability to read blueprints and layout by interpreting construction plans
  • Must be able to use transit to set elevations and establish line and grade
  • Willing to travel as needed nationwide
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Schedule flexibility to work a 40-60 hour work week depending on project requirements.
  • Work in an outside environment in year round climate.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to set string line to grade for setting concrete forms.
  • Pour and finish concrete to the project specifications.
  • Read blueprints to determine the scope of work: layout work, calculate quantities.
  • Setting forms and tying rebar per specification.
  • Oversee, assist, and inspect while using heavy machinery to dig up and grade existing material, form new concrete, and ensure everything meets OSHA standards
  • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials
  • Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools
  • Build and position forms for pouring concrete, and dismantle forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts
  • Receive work order and/or blueprints, assess job site for potential safety issues and problems
  • Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications
  • Coordinating various concrete groups and subcontractors, and dealing with personnel issues
  • Provide assistance to craft workers, such as electricians and operators
  • Demolish structures and salvage useful materials

May perform other duties as necessary or required
