Community Director for Eberhardt Village Assisted Living

Eberhardt Village Assisted Living has an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader. The right candidate will be organized, community minded, and passionate about the people we serve.

The Successful applicant will be a proven leader and excel in team building. They must be a self-starter and experienced in managing a staff. Experience in sales preferred and must be marketing focused.

Job Summary:

• Maintain an excellent reputation of community.
• Prepare for and execute excellent state annual surveys.
• Maintain a clean and visually appealing community.
• Establish and maintain great relations with all referral sources.
• Oversee the entire community team.
• Plan and participate with community events, both internal and external.
• Ensure community is active and energetic with activities scheduled and executed.
• Establish and maintain good relations with residents and family members.
• Manage community census and maintain budgeted criteria
• Ensure resident satisfaction
• Manage and ensure all life safety controls are maintained.
• Ensure quality programs for care are maintained.

· Learn all the jobs associated with Eberhardt Village.

· All other duties as assigned by Administrator

General Duties:
May include but not limited to:

• Responsible for coordination and supervision of all resident care
• Hire and train new and existing staff
• Maintain appropriate staffing of facility
• Implementation of staff discipline
• Develop and implementation of staff in-service education
• Maintain and implement Activity calendar
• Oversight of all resident activity including outings
• Report and document changes in residents conditions and needs
• Oversight, supervision and coordination of maintaining compliance with IDPH and other regulatory agencies including Health Department, OSHA and others.
• Oversight of staff communication concerning resident needs
• Encourage and educate tenants to maintain independence.
• Maintain referral sources and marketing of community
• Coordination of all new admissions, discharges and inquiries
• Provide on-call services as needed
• Oversight of day-to-day cleanliness
• Maintain daily census and tracking

Qualifications:

· Current RN / LPN license

· Experience in Assisted Living or Long-Term Care (Preferred)

· Computer technology literacy with experience in the Matrix system preferred

· Ability to be available when necessary and to work beyond normal working hours as well as possible weekends and holidays

· Staff Management and scheduling experience

· Ability to plan and implement activities for the seniors as well as arranging events in the facility

· To know or to be able to learn all the State of Illinois Regulations for Assisted Living and keep accurate records

· Able to work with staff and leadership from the other campus facilities

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to walk, stand, sit and bend frequently for moderate periods of time

· Able to respond appropriately and quickly to emergency situations

· Able to push weights of greater than 50lbs frequently for brief periods of time
