Roles & Responsibilities:

• Operate CMM machine to verify dimensions per manufacturing blueprint
• Burn down backlog of parts to be dimensioned and maintain current workload
• Suggest changes/improvements to the CMM programmer
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing procedures
• Work with manufacturing and design teams
• Create process improvement methods
• Mentor and facilitate training for team members

· Meet with customers regularly to monitor project health

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

• Associate egree in relevant field (Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, etc) or equivalent experience
• Proficient with GD&T concepts
• 1-3 years’ minimum of relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience operating CMM machines
• Experience in manufacturing processes
• Ability to work in high stress fast-paced environment
• Displays strong analytical skills
• Demonstrated capacity to meet aggressive deadlines while achieving excellent business results
• Exhibits successful ability with indirect leadership of diverse teams deploying complex processes
• Shows very strong written and oral communication skills to all stakeholders

Desired Skills:

• Aerospace experience highly valued
• Familiarity with Zeiss CMM machines highly desired
• Team/management skills and organizational skills

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Mostly Shop Floor Environments, Occasional Office involvement.
• Substantial amounts of computer work.
• Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
• Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
• Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 2PM to 11PM
• Alternating Saturdays are also required
• Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $17.38 - $52.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday

• Torrance, CA 90501: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
