ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Position Specific

  • Provides comprehensive, strength-based, culturally competent, flexible, effective, quality substance use prevention and treatment services to eligible at-risk children, youth, and families
  • Provides services to assigned youth (ages 12-20) and their families/caregivers in the home, office, school, or other community based settings. May utilize telehealth per current agency guidelines.
  • Able to provide or arrange for safe transportation for youth and families to services as needed
  • Possesses specific cultural competence to work with and outreach to culturally diverse populations and communities
  • Ensures all clinical records are current and accurate, meeting organization and County timelines for submission
  • Provides and documents all Drug Medi-Cal eligible services provided, including but not limited to assessment, plan development, safety planning, individual therapy, family therapy, group sessions, case management, crisis intervention, and relapse prevention
  • Completes Screenings, Intake, Assessment, and Discharge packets for assigned youth, meeting expected timelines
  • Accurately documents all billable and non-billable services provided, meeting expected timelines
  • Provides referrals and resources to children, adults and families, and acts as a liaison between youth (ages 12-20) and their family/caregiver, assigned treatment team and external organizations
  • Utilizes identified substance use prevention and treatment models.
  • Ensures every assigned youth has an individualized safety plan that maximizes the use of natural supports and community based resources
  • Participates in the agency 24 hour family support on-call rotation
  • Participates in utilization, accreditation, peer review process as assigned
  • Works collaboratively with all internal programs, departments, and staff
  • Maintains positive relationships with system partners, families and providers
  • Responsible for meeting all outcomes as documented in Employee Development Plan
  • Attends all staff meetings, clinical Supervision, and consultation meetings as scheduled
  • Coordinate psychiatric services with assigned youth and family/caregivers, as needed
  • Participates in clinical supervision per BBS and County contract requirements
  • Coordinates with other services provided under the Drug Medi-Cal model, acting in collaboration with other partners and ensuring documentation reflects standards that meet or surpass the agency, state and federal Drug Medi-Cal/Medicaid standards

  • Performs all duties in a manner consistent with the principles and values of agency, while adhering to applicable professional codes of ethics, the agency’s policies and procedures, contractor requirements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Model and communicate appropriate positive attitudes toward the agency’s Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Work collaboratively with all agency programs and staff to provide support as needed
  • Utilize and maintain calendar with all work-related details in order to manage time effectively and share calendar information with coworkers
  • Participate in on-going training to expand and develop professional skills
  • Perform other duties as necessary for the agency, as assigned

Employment At-Will
Employment at the Agency is terminable at-will, which means that employment may be
terminated at any time, without cause or reason, by either the employee or the Agency. In
addition the Agency may also demote, layoff, transfer or reassign employees at any time at its
sole discretion without cause or reason.

Starting Salary Range: $67,000 - $76,666 DOE

Clinician I : $67,000 - $70,720 DOE

Clinician II:$70,000 - $76,666 DOE

Education

Preferred
  • Masters or better in Human Services or related field
