Job Overview: Clinical coordinators are responsible for ensuring the patient flow throughout the clinic is providing superior patient services approach. Among daily duties, the clinical coordinator manages supplies and inventory.


Primary Responsibility:

  • Facilitate patient flow throughout the Minneapolis clinic locations.
  • Be the first point of contact for computer issues, building repairs, and general building upkeep.
  • Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Manage appointment schedules on a daily and weekly basis to ensure the clinic is scheduled to capacity for providers and support staff.
  • Manage safety trainings and adherence to safety procedures at each facility.
  • Coordinate inventory, receive shipments, order processing and distribution of products and services.
  • Train and supervise clinical support staff including phlebotomists, front desk and medical assisting staff.
  • Support operational reporting on daily, weekly, monthly basis
  • Act as a back-up for clinical support positions
  • Conduct meetings with clinical staff to ensure processes are understood and communicate upcoming events.
  • Act as the first point of contact for escalated patients issues or complaints.
  • Ensure clinic staff delivers excellent customer service to patients, vendors, and employees.
  • Deliver support to the front desk or medical assistants as needed.
  • Coordinate company, vendor, and referral partner events.
  • Position is Monday-Friday. Must be available to work 1-2 evenings a week.
  • Ability to work on a holiday as part of a rotation and float to other VMW locations as needed.
  • Ensure clinic cleaning and sanitation standards are followed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • EMR Experience
  • Experience working directly with patients.
  • Experience mentoring/training staff
  • Experience rooming patients


Required Education, Experience and Credentials:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources, Training, Education, Organizational Development, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
  • 1 years of clinic experience.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
  • Must have strong computer user skills including eHR, Internet, Direct Messaging, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Additional Position Details: (hours, locations, commute)

  • Ability to facilitate for up to 10 hours a day
  • Ability to travel up to 30% between clinics as needed
  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
