Clerk - WBGH - Admissions - 0.2 D/W

The Admissions Clerk is responsible for the registration and necessary follow-up of all reference accounts including laboratory, pathology and cytology. Follow-up includes but is not limited to making phone calls to obtain missing information from physician offices and/or patients, verifying insurance and working designated reports. The clerk will also provide other needed support for the Admissions/Registration area as assigned.

High school diploma or G.E.D. required, medical terminology desired. Typing skills of 30 wpm and demonstrable word processing skills required.

Medical terminology, command of English language, typing at 30-50 wpm, knowledge of insurance requirements helpful. High degree of clerical accuracy, highly organized, and possess good communication skills. Ability to learn and keep current of changes in job.
