Role Summary
Maintain the cleanliness of the Strength Equipment, Cardio Equipment, and overall general sanitation of the gym.

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks

• Cleans all mirrors and counters within the gym.
• Vacuums all areas of the gym.
• Mops all areas of the gym with provided chemical solutions.
• Cleans / Scrubs all areas of the bathrooms, including sinks, toilet seats, shower area.
• Prior to leaving, ensures all areas have been cleaned.
• If necessary, notifies the manager to make arrangements for special cleaning that you are unable to clean to our standard.
• Inventories all cleaning supplies.
• Cleans treadmills and other cardio equipment daily – this includes lifting the treadmill to clean properly. Approximately 30 treadmills in each gym. (Treadmills weigh 50 to 75 pounds).
• Vacuums treadmill motors, as schedule requires.
• Daily wipes down all equipment including, but not limited to metal framework, upholstered padding, and handles– This will include possibly moving heavy machines to clean areas that cannot be reached.
• Moves weights to appropriate area of the gym (Must be able to able to lift and carry 45 pounds on a regular basis).
• Notifies Manager if equipment appears to be damaged.

Basic Requirements

• Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must have the ability to bend for long periods of time.
• Must have the ability to squat for long periods of time.
• Must have the ability to work on their knees for long periods of time.
• Must have the ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds on an as-needed daily basis.
• Must have the ability to mix and work with chemicals.

• Self-starter - able to identify work that needs to be done and do it without being instructed to do so.
• Friendly and Professional – able to deal with customers when they are on-site while cleaning is being performed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
