ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
Individuals in this position may perform any or all of the below-listed duties. These should be interpreted as examples of the work, and are not necessarily all-inclusive
.
Assists with the operations of the Claims Administration department.
Ensures all incoming claims and claims-related correspondence is handled and processed efficiently and promptly, according to departmental procedures.
Performs scanning and data validation and correction of paper claims documentation to ensure the accuracy of claims OCR data.
Performs manual entry of submitted claims data as needed.
Effectively prioritizes and completes all assigned tasks within appropriate timeframes and with the required level of quality.
Openly participates in team meetings, providing ideas and suggestions to ensure departmental efficiency and quality, and to promote teamwork.
Maintain required compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards.
Maintains or exceeds all established standards for performance, quality, and timeliness.
Supports the Claims department in review, investigation, and research of claims documentation issues.
Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to all Health System and Health Plan policies and procedures.
Assists with other related work responsibilities as requested.
