Overview/ Job Responsibilities:

The Deputy Civilian Divisional Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for overseeing the technology strategy, infrastructure, and operations of the Civilian Division. This role requires a seasoned technology leader who can build and lead a high-performing team that can deliver innovative solutions to meet the organization's changing business needs.

The role of Divisional Chief Technology Officer is critical for organizations to achieve their digital transformation goals and enhance their competitive advantage in the market. This position requires a strong technology leader who can balance the technical and business aspects of the role and drive innovation, efficiency, and productivity. The successful candidate will need to possess the necessary qualifications and experience, along with the leadership and communication skills to build a high-performing technology organization that can deliver value to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Civilian General Manager, Growth Team, and Program Managers, in coordination with the company CTO to align growth opportunities, operational targets and technical initiatives to technology solutions.
  • Develop, execute and manage technical strategies to align corporate technology capabilities with Civilian Division technical strategy and plans when relevant.
  • Stay current with Civilian customer trends and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure the Civilian Division uses technology effectively to meet division goals and stay ahead of the curve with new technologies aligned with the Civilian customers.
  • Develop relevant partnerships and strategic relationships with technology vendors that align with Civilian strategy.
  • Prepare technical concept material for both technical and non-technical stakeholders in support of Civilian Division.
  • Assess Technical skills across the Civilian Division and mentor new talent for future growth of the Division.
  • Assess new technologies and provide key corporate synergies to OCTO.
  • Execute Civilian customer expansion by evaluating potential new customers based on technical strategy and alignment of capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10-15 years of experience in technology leadership roles in large-scale organizations.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful technology strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise technology infrastructure, operations, and applications.
  • Good understanding of emerging technologies such as cloud computing, machine learning, and blockchain to drive digital transformation and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective partnerships with business leaders, IT teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing technology teams that deliver quality results on time and within budget.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills to drive informed decision-making and risk management.
