$194,000 - $320,000 annually depending on experience

What you
'll do
The Chief Program Officer (CPO) will serve as a critical member of the Pioneer Human Services (PHS) executive management team. In collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CPO will articulate and implement the strategic vision of the organization in their areas of responsibility. The CPO will oversee a significant portfolio of programs and related services. They will evaluate the effectiveness of programs to provide ongoing feedback. They will help to promote and diversify funding through effective resource stewardship; raise the agency’s profile through external communications; provide mentoring, guidance, supervision, and professional development to all leadership staff; and enhance the structure of the organization by staying abreast of developments in all of the programs in which PHS operates and delivers to the communities in which we serve.

The CPO will oversee a program portfolio that includes: 1) housing, 2) inpatient / outpatient and stabilization services, 3) reentry, and 4) workforce development. The CPO will also engage the Board of Directors frequently under the direction of the CEO.


What
you ' ll bring
Any equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities is acceptable.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 10 years in general social services in progressive leadership positions.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a non-profit organization with specific responsibilities in program oversight / management.
  • Demonstrated experience working with the justice-involved population.

Preferably you
' ll bring
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Public Health, Law, Business, or related field
  • Broad and progressive leadership experience in several different social services disciplines including case management, low income housing, health care, employment, adult education, juvenile, immigration, legal aid, foster care, vulnerable populations.
  • Demonstrated employment program oversight
  • Direct or ancillary lived experience with justice involvement, addiction, incarceration
