SUMMARY

Utilize knowledge of chemistry and engineering to design processes and equipment needs for manufacturing, plan and test production methods, and provide solutions to continually improve products and processes.

(We will consider an upcoming graduating Chemist or possibly an intern that will be going into their Senior year)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Design, develop and implement new and improved processes
  • Conduct tests to evaluate the efficiency of processes
  • Evaluate processes and equipment to ensure compliance to product standards and safety specifications
  • Troubleshoot problems with processes and implement changes as required.
  • Document processes and controls to continually improve our procedures and quality of our products
  • Identify variable to appropriately control quality of our processes

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess a strong research background and prior experience / exposure to manufacturing processes.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft products including working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Masters’ Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering or related field; Bachelor's degree in related field with 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
