The University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Weight and Eating Disorders seeks a part-time, certified medical assistant (CMA) to participate on its research trials of the behavioral and pharmacologic treatment of obesity. The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team that includes a physician, registered nurse, dietitian, and psychologist. The CMA will be responsible for obtaining vital signs, completing EKGs, performing phlebotomy, processing and preparing samples for shipment, and entering data into an on-line data base. Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience, particularly with phlebotomy; experience in caring for individuals with overweight and obesity is highly desirable.
