POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receives referrals and processes all referral information. Receives and processes calls for inquiries for service. Provides accurate and up to date information regarding facility services.

Makes every effort to provide services as appropriate to customers at the time of the initial call.

Enters data into CRM regarding referral information and status / outcome of all inquiries.

Participates in daily meeting with Director of Central Admissions

Performs insurance verification or obtains prior authorization as required.

Enters patient information into CRM and verify accuracy of the information.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of data entry responsibilities.

Verifies Medicare/Medicaid common work files prior to admission.

Collaborate with Central Admissions Clinical Evaluator to ensure complete accurate admission information.

Assist in scheduling tours for prospective families and applicants.

Obtain any additional information needed from the family to complete pre-admission paperwork.

Maintains relationships with all appropriate contacts in hospital and related accounts by establishing in-person or telephonic relationships within those assigned accounts.

Maintains customer service standards of NHCA’s.

Performs other duties assigned by the Director of Central Admissions.

Complies with laws and regulations applicable to position and act in accordance with National Healthcare Associates’ Corporate Compliance Program.

Treats all residents, visitors, and staff with courtesy.

*Performs physical activities including standing, lifting (up to 60 pounds unassisted), bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and twisting.

*Attends and participates in inservice training, performance improvement (“PI”) committees and other meetings as scheduled and directed.

Follows facility dress and hygiene policies.

Safety

· Knows and follows facility rules.

· *Demonstrates proper use of equipment. Reports equipment needs or repairs.

· Follows facility smoking policies.

· Reports and documents any incidents or accidents of residents, staff or visitors to the appropriate facility personnel.

· Reports all hazardous conditions/equipment to Supervisor.

· *Performs duties, which may include transportation of residents, as assigned in Facility Disaster Plan.

· Uses required protective equipment.

· Follows infection control standards, policies and procedures.

Resident Rights

· Knows Resident Rights. Helps the residents/patients exercise and/or protect their rights.

· Reports resident/patient complaints to management.

· Maintains confidentiality of resident/patient information.

HIPAA

  • Follows and adheres to National Healthcare’s policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information.
  • Uses and/or discloses only minimum amount of Protected Health Information necessary to complete assigned tasks. (Applies only if position requires access to PHI under Role Based Access Grid.)
  • Reports all suspected violation of company’s HIPAA policies or procedures to Facility Privacy Designee.

Other Duties

1. *Performs other duties as directed by facility/regional management.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. 3-5 years experience with data entry

2. Excellent typing skills

3. Can communicate both verbally and in writing

4. Must have excellent organizational skills

5. Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers, and facility staff in the performance of duties.

6. Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing the admission process within nursing facility

7. Excellent computer skills.
