At YSB, we work hard to make kids matter every day! We are a non-profit organization that has Residential, Family, and Community Based programs for children and families. We are searching for a Case Manager in our Big Brothers Big Sisters Program. Some of the position responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts assessment of each child assigned by the Program Director through home visits and collateral contacts to determine appropriateness for program services. Completes intake and assessment forms. Develops and implements a service plan for each child accepted into the program and refers children not accepted into the program to other service providers if appropriate.
  • Provides case management for all children on the caseload who have been matched with a volunteer, which includes ongoing evaluation of the relationship, provision of resources, and coaching and support to clients and volunteers.
  • Maintains a waiting list and re-evaluates, at least quarterly, each child on the waiting list by telephoning or visiting the family to determine current level of need.
  • Assists with the screening of volunteer applicants through interviews, written assessments, processing references and clearances, and selecting volunteers to ensure appropriate and satisfactory matches.
  • Assists site-based coordinator with volunteer and client enrollment and programming as needed.

Qualifications:

Applicant must have a high school diploma/GED equivalent, excellent writing, speaking, and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently AND meet one of the following criteria:

· A documented bachelor’s degree, from an accredited college or university, in a field that is determined by the agency to be appropriate for the position, or candidates shall be within six months of degree completion;

· A documented associate degree or two years of higher education experience, from an accredited college or university in a field that is determined by the agency to be appropriate for the position and two years of relevant work experience in related fields, such as social work, counseling, social services, child development, or other related fields; or

· Four years of relevant work experience in related fields, such as social work, counseling, social services, child development, or other related fields.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
