The Career Program Coordinator will work at the direction of the Career Program Manager in support and leading key program initiatives across the Beyond the Dome career development program. This person will be responsible for supporting all strategic program initiatives and new endeavors of Beyond the Dome. The Career Program Coordinator will collaborate with student board members and the Career Program Manager to assist with marketing efforts (including the newsletter, the website, the podcast, the YouTube channel, etc.). This position will assist in event coordination and logistics for all program events (including BTDx, Imagine A World, speaker series, etc.). This position will create and implement a recruitment and onboarding program for the Peers 2 Careers student dorm representative initiative of Beyond the Dome, and support in overseeing the program's student workers. This position will assist in the cultivation and engagement of employer relationships. This position will help assess student needs through surveys and interviews and consult with the Career Program Manager to create initiatives that support the professional growth and development of the students of Arts & Letters.

Beyond the Dome Coordination
  • Support all strategic undertakings of the program
  • Develop a survey a feedback strategy, analyze data, lead a student/staff committee to review data, and implement strategies based on data findings to ensure program growth and improvement
  • Execute and ensure consistent application of the Beyond the Dome brand across all events

Marketing & Communications
  • Implement a Beyond the Dome communication and engagement strategy
  • Manage the Beyond the Dome website
  • Oversee, develop and recommend a content calendar for all program communications
  • Collaborate with student board members and the Career Program Manager to assist with marketing efforts
  • Develop and create new content for the different Beyond the Dome media channels

Student Engagement
  • Create and implement a recruitment and onboarding program for the Peers 2 Careers student dorm representative initiative
  • Support in the oversight of the program's student workers
  • Create professional development training programs for P2C dorm reps
  • Consult with the Career Program Manager to create initiatives that support the professional growth and development of the students of Arts & Letters.

Employer Relations
  • Assist in the cultivation and engagement of employer relationships
  • Serve as a program liaison to employers, attend meetings and develop partnerships, as well as respond to inquiries, suggestions, and ideas with creative solutions that make the program's relationships with the respective employers stronger
  • Lead, develop, create and execute employer/student engagement programs and events

Event Planning
  • Organize and promote events (space reservation, catering orders, event marketing, employer and student interface, student worker assignments)

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED, with 3-4 years of experience.
  • Ability to work well with people in both a team environment and one-on-one
  • Ability to set priorities and meet multiple deadlines in a fluid, dynamic office environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Solid customer service orientation
  • Ability to think creatively about operation needs and projects and plan and organize accordingly
