Job Summary and Qualifications

A few responsibilities of our Cardiac Sonographer include:

• Performs various types of echocardiograms of cardiac patients
• Maintains and troubleshoots ultrasound equipment
• Maintains/Operates High Level Disinfecting TEE probe cleaner per manufacturer’s recommendations
• Documents and maintains accountability of all ultrasound equipment
• Performs clerical duties as necessary for the department

Required Job Qualifications include:

• Medical Sonographers or by Cardiovascular Credentialing International. Must be registered within 3 months of hire date
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course, as specified in policy

• Graduate of an accredited school of Echocardiographic Study
