The Buyer, under the direction of the Manager, Purchasing is responsible for the procurement of all stock and non-stock supplies, with the exception of raw food and drugs.

- Associate's Degree in Business preferred.
- Two years of Industrial Purchasing or Hospital Purchasing experience required.
- Responsible for the acquisition of all Hospital supplies with the exception of raw food and drugs.
- Maintains, monitors, and updates computerized inventory/purchasing system. Notifies end users of Lawson part number changes.
- Work with Accounts Payable and Receiving staff to resolve invoice, receiving, matching, and other Purchase order and invoice related issues.
- Purchase orders and telephone or formal bids are in the appropriate files in order, documented and current.
- Maintains a purchasing P.O. and bid activity log on monthly expenditures.
- Expedite critically needed supplies, procured before crisis arise.
