Position Summary:

The core responsibility of this role is to champion transformation in our business processes. Starting with measuring the performance of our processes, you will bring all teams at Bloom together on a learning journey on how we get things done to benefit our customers. From Sales, thru Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance. We will look to this role to champion the implementation of improvements across the business processes and the systems that support them. To succeed in this role, you must have a passion for people, problems, processes, and products. Your strengths are in bringing people together around adaptable operable solutions whether those are manual or automated. We are already at work on analyzing a new or updated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for our Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing environments. This individual will be an expert in delivering major business transformation by driving standardized process solutions that enable deconstruction and re-platforming of heavily customized existing ERP systems, processes, and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work to embed a culture where the teams embrace learning together for a better tomorrow, supporting the implementation of appropriate tools, behaviors, and principles at all levels. Insisting on the highest standards while pushing the organization forward.
    • Lead workshops that include all team members to drive understanding the requirements of each part of the business and develop a shared understanding across the teams to resolve any competing interests
    • Define business and functional requirements of data and systems
    • Apply critical thinking skills to analyze requirements and propose system and process- based solutions
    • Lead process reviews and application configuration discussions
    • Bring the teams together around critical areas of focus to ensure successful procedural changes and system implementations with full buy-in by the user base
    • Develop and lead a cross-functional team to manage planning data architecture and data management
    • Engage, collaborate, and communicate effectively with variety of stakeholders to deliver the business value
  • Serve as a change agent, engaging with technicians, engineers, and business personnel to drive improvement across all aspects of the business, including the international business units.
  • Enable process stability and consistency by bringing the global Bloom team together to share learnings and best practices, and by documenting them in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a central controlled location.
  • Partner with outside vendors to deliver services, technology and platforms to the business
  • Review new technologies and trends to keep the company at the forefront of developments in and around these platforms
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Information Systems preferred
  • At least 7 years of experience in an industrial company with at least 4 of those years in a business software applications or process improvement role or similar experience
  • Working knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, Total Quality Management, Toyota Production System, Theory of Constraints, etc.
  • Experienced in facilitating cross functional process improvement teams and the ability to influence (including negotiating & conflict resolution)
  • Have strong project management and excellent communication skills
  • Proven track record of business process implementations working with cross-functional teams
  • Previous ERP implementation or enhancement experience a plus
  • Transactional and shop floor automation improvement experience desired
  • Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt, or comparable certification a plus
  • Self-starter who can manage numerous projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel internationally to other Bloom Engineering locations
