The Pennyrile Area Development District (PeADD) has an opportunity for a Community Development Specialist in our community & economic development department. Primary Responsibilities

• Write and submit funding applications (grant and/or loan) for project development as a result of the establishment of community goals and objectives with local officials.
• Meet with local officials to develop and plan community and economic development, public facility, housing, public services and related projects.
• Write articles/material for the newsletter and website and give presentations to the Board of Directors on projects and/or funding sources.
• Function as the liaison with state and federal agencies, legislators, regional planning commissions, local government officials, community organizations and the general public.
• Attend conferences, workshops, and meetings necessary to remain current with funding trends, related legislation and local issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Public Administration or related field.

· Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills are a must

· Handle a multitude of tasks simultaneously
