Position Summary/Objective
The Business Development Representative – Inside Sales position conducts lead generation and sales activities through telemarketing, e-mails, direct and overnight mail, social media, trade shows, in-person cold calling, channel partners, and other means that generate and source new client proposal opportunities that lead directly to new client contracts.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time sales position. As an exempt position, expected to complete the hours reasonably required to maintain maximum production and complete position requirements. This position may occasionally require some weekend work.


Education/Experience/Training

  • High School Graduate.
  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Inside sales, outbound call center, or related sales experience preferred.
  • Experience with telemarketing, e-mail sales, and social media sales preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, listening and written skills.
  • Excellent sales and negotiating skills.
  • Strong phone presence and experience making multiple phone calls per day.
  • Possess competitiveness and curiosity.
  • Possess creativity, ingenuity and the ability to handle or overcome rejection.
  • Ability to achieve targets or quotas.
  • Thorough understanding of services to be sold after training.
  • Able to work independently having exceptional time-management and organizational skills.
  • Must have a proactive-positive attitude with the ability to understand, adapt to and affect change.
  • Excellent customer-focused interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain trusting relationships.
  • Demonstrate the ability to function effectively in a fluid, dynamic, and rapidly changing environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft/Google Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with CRM software such as Salesforce, Ontraport, etc.
  • Proficient with web presentation tools such as Zoom, Google Meets, etc.


Essential Functions and Duties

  • Conducts lead generation and sales activities through telemarketing, e-mails, direct and overnight mail, social media, trade shows, in-person cold calling, channel partners, and other means that generate and source new client proposal opportunities for new client contracts.
  • Routes qualified sales leads to appropriate executives for further development and closure.
  • Establishes and participates in qualified “in-person” sales appointments/meetings or video conferences with and for senior executives.
  • Establishes proposal opportunities for new client acquisition.
  • Supports as needed Senior Executives in In Person and or Virtual Sales
  • Presentations.
  • Attends trade shows and conventions in support of lead generation.
  • Researching, qualifying and actively pursuing new leads.
  • Researching competition and market dynamics.
  • Understanding customer needs and identifying opportunities.
  • Answers potential client questions and provides follow-up information with e-mails, letters, etc.
  • Maintains CRM database of potential customers.
  • Maintains CRM database with updated sales prospect information including client contact information and competitive information.
  • Utilizes CRM to track lead generation activity and create notes/history for all contact interactions.
  • Prepares sales and lead generation activities reports.
  • Achieves lead and proposal generation targets.
  • Collaborates with Operations/Finance/Human Resources/Recruiting and other teams.
  • Participates in appropriate sales training and industry education opportunities.
  • Maintains clean, organized and professional workspace.
  • Performs duties as assigned.
  • General Responsibility as Required for Position
  • Responsible for acting in conformance with all company and departmental policies and procedures including those relating to Human Resources, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Health and Safety Regulations, Compliance Requirements, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, and HIPAA. Responsible for acting in conformance with accrediting agency standards.
  • Attends department meetings as required.
  • Demonstrates accountability to accept responsibility for personal/professional growth and any required training/certification/licenses, if applicable.

Completes mandatory training and competencies annually.


Travel
Some travel is required for training, trade shows, conventions, outside sales support, perspective client meetings or miscellaneous company business.
