JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: General Store Barista

Reports to: Jackson Hole Sports Assistant General Manager

Department: Retail - General Store

Classification: Seasonal FT/PT

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

GENERAL PURPOSE

• Prepare all hot drinks including espresso drinks, hot chocolate and coffee
• Prepare all food items on the menu including milkshakes and smoothies
• Sell food, beverages, and snacks and provide information as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of store, especially counter space
• Stock retail shelves, bottled beverages, condiments and paper goods
• Keep customer areas clean and organized
• Provide excellent customer service by exceeding guests’ expectations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ability to explain all items for sale
• Operate cash resister/computer to record all transactions
• Make appropriate change
• Ability to work well in a stressful and fast paced work environment while maintaining a high level of customer service
• Opening: Responsible for stocking and start-up of all beverage machines
• Closing: Responsible for cleaning, stocking and all other closing duties

OTHER FUNCTIONS

• Keep restaurant tidy
• Keep condiments, cups, flatware and self-serve dispensers stocked and cleaned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY:

• Must be 21 years old to process alcohol sales.
• Cash handling or register experience
• Computer experience and/or willingness to learn
• Ability to concentrate on transaction while being distracted by other concerns
• Basic understanding of food preparation and menu
• Heavy lifting to 50 lbs

EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:

• High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

• Computer and barista experience preferred

MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

• Point of sale terminal
• Coffee equipment

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

• Coffee equipment
• Miscellaneous food preparation and storage equipment
• POS Terminal
• Heavy lifting to 50 lbs
