The newly opened & renovated Doubletree by Hilton Monroe is seeking Banquet Servers-On Call Part Time for our 14,000 square feet of meeting banquet space. Experienced servers preferred for this position. We are planning on hosting many corporate events and weddings so there will be many available dates for servers to pick-up.

  • Review BEO's for menu details, room setup, food, beverage.
  • Assist the set up staff in table set up, buffet set up, bar set up, etc.
  • Check quality and presentation of food before and during service.
  • Prepare and serve beverages for the function if assigned as bar tender.
  • Communicate with Kitchen keeping update on any changes or guests concerns with the food or requests.
  • Assist guests with fresh napkins, pulling out chairs, refilling water glasses, etc.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Perform preparatory tasks and side work duties to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
  • Know how to read the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and be familiar with the menu of the assigned function.
  • Served guests according to the hotel’s standards in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents. Communicate to management, if necessary.
  • Set all tables according to hotel standards.
  • Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner, stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for food service functions.
  • Clean-up banquet space after the completion of the function and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored and re-stocked properly.
  • Know the menu items for each function served and able to give accurate descriptions.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Customer service focused, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, likes to communicate with guests and associates.
  • High work ethic and self-initiative
  • Ability to work in high pressure situations
  • Flexible to work varying schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service-ware.
  • Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product-labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
  • Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
  • Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
  • Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker.
  • Position is part-time and/or on-call.
  • Receive a competitive hourly rate plus any tips
