Class B Machinist
Job Summary:

Under supervision, follows instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform set up fixtures, cutting tools and load parts programs needed to machine raw material on 3, 4, & 5 axis CNC Milling Machines and CNC Lathes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Setup tooling and fixtures, interpret CNC program and run complex parts with different types of controls (Fanuc and Okuma, ect.)
• Machine parts to specification using lathes, milling machines, grinders
• Adjust program as needed to produce first piece to print
• Inspect first piece and submit for first piece approval and perform in-process inspections using hand and electronic measurement devices.
• Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems
• Produce work in allotted time frame
• Manage a clean and productive workstation
• Adhere to all safety requirements
• Perform computer transactions to record job progress and performance
• Train less experienced operators
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments accessories and materials on machines
• Calculate dimensions and tolerance using knowledge of mathematics, micrometers, dial calipers and indicators
• Check workpieces to ensure lubrication and cooling
• Measure and examine parts for conformity to specifications
• Maintains industrial machines
• Apply knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, layout and machining procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be 18 years of age and a US Citizen,

• Drug Free
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3 years experience
• Certifications in machining practices are highly desired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
