Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP, Credit Analytics and Reporting will develop and execute analysis and reporting of our credit performance. The analyst will acquire a strong understanding of credit management concepts and skills in one or multiple data visualization tools.. This role will work closely across multiple functions and disciplines including credit strategy, portfolio management, loss forecasting, collections, and finance to quantify various credit metrics. This analyst will be a subject matter expert in using account level data elements for data analytics, portfolio insights, performance monitoring and measuring impact of strategy changes.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report client credit portfolio performance including acquisition and account management metrics. Alert business to any breaches while working closely with credit strategy and portfolio credit managers to understand strategy and portfolio changes causing changes in performance

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams in the development of analytic reporting including enhancement to meet business needs

  • Utilize data analytics tools, such as SAS, to source and structure data for effective data analysis

  • Utilize current data visualization tools to create portfolio performance that can be utilized to drill down into key portfolio drivers

  • Utilize insights and findings to drive business improvements that have an impact on credit strategies and performance

  • Elevate everyday by simplifying and looking for ways to enhance and automate processes using available technology or exploring new tools

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years of experience in analytics or in lieu of a degree 8 years of experience in retail, business, or private label credit

  • 2+ years of experience in Credit, Collections, Risk, Finance, or other Data Analytics role

  • 2+ year experience with SAS, SQL, or Python programming language experience

  • 1+ year experience with Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics, or similar tool

Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated creativity, problem solving, and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to draw conclusions and provide insights from analyzing data

  • Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with account level database such as RDG, CDCI, CLBP2 database

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly with credit/risk/finance, with positive collaborative and team management style

  • Familiarity with data lake technologies and programming languages (Hadoop, Python, Hive, etc.) a plus

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Master's Degree desired

  • Project management skills

  • Hyperion experience

Grade/Level: 10


The salary range for this position is 65,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
